I cater each lesson to each individual students needs. The thing that I love about teaching private lessons is that each and every student is different. Whereas with group and classroom teaching, you try to make each student fit the mold, private students, I try to fit YOUR mold! What makes you tick? What is your passion? What drove you to want to learn your instrument? Who inspires you? I look forward to learning all these things and MORE about you! Read More

I began teaching my friends and family for fun in my early teens. My mom is a teacher and she taught me the basics of guitar at a young age. By the time I graduated High School it seemed like being a guitar instructor was the only job for me. It still seems that way, however I have expanded my business towards building and repairing guitars, amplifiers, and effect pedals. Read More
Instruments: Voice
I began teaching private voice lessons to high school-age children in 2016. Since then, I have had the opportunity to work with people ages 5-30. The Metropolitan Opera Guild was an excellent teaching experience, where my mentors included teachers at Lincoln Center and New England Conservatory alumni. As a participant in NEC's Vocal Pedagogy program, I had the experience of teaching lessons to my colleagues in NEC Opera. This year I will be serving as a Voice Teaching Assistant, teaching voice lessons to non-majors as part of their curriculum. Read More

Hi, I am a graduate of the Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA, and have been teaching drums, piano, and percussion for over 12 years. I focus on the fundamentals of teaching students how to read music and the rudiments, but try to balance this with just playing and having fun. I want all of my students to have fun, and stay interested in playing and growing as a musician. Read More

However, my Master's degree in Modern American Music Performance gives me a unique perspective into approaching learning from a variety of angles. The demands of playing contemporary music present me with many challenges and forces me to rely on intuition and creativity to play it correctly; I bring this sense of creativity and acceptance to my lessons and help solve my students' problems in ways that are best for them. I have been teaching music since 2005. I started as an in home music instructor, providing guitar, bass and piano lessons to people of all ages in their homes. As my teaching experience grew, I've added drums and ensemble/group lessons to my repertoire. I've also been hired as a bass and guitar instructor and curriculum director by a number of private music schools in and around the Boston area. My lessons focus on creating excitement and enthusiasm for the instrument through playing examples, live playing or "jamming" and encouraging the student to develop a consistent practice schedule. Instruments: Piano
I've also found that a combination of classical and modern music can go a long way in helping students enjoy the piano and motivate them to practice and continue to learn. If a student isn't having fun in their lessons, then I'm not doing my job! My students are encouraged to enter competitions and recitals, as well as work on composing their own original material, so they can feel good about their accomplishments and stay motivated to learn.
