This class focusses on developing three aspects of a musician The Body The Mind The Soul With Body we will focus on developing the finger strength, stamina, and muscle memory necessary for playing guitar. Students will be given exercises and chords to practice that will train their hand for performance. For the Mind we will focus on learning the basics of music theory. For beginning students, I start with getting comfortable holding the drum sticks and understanding how to properly strike the drumhead. Students will be introduced to basic notes and rhythms that will help them along the way. Beginning students start on drum pads and progressively move towards actual drums.
