My teaching style consist of setting realistic goals and encouraging students to push past what they think their limitations are. Getting my students to understand that this journey is a marathon and not a race is important so that they can understand how they should pace themselves as they progress. Offering my students a chance of performing in front of an audience through recitals, gives them motivation to continue to strive to be a better player and allows them to see the fruits of their labor. I started teaching guitar lessons privately when I was 16 years old and, since I tested out of my first year of Music College in Argentina, I was able to receive my first music degree at age 19. Shortly thereafter, I started teaching elementary school music and symphonic band at a private school until I was offered a scholarship to be an exchange student in the U.S., and then offered two scholarships (Tiger Scholar and LMA) to transfer to LSU (Geaux Tigers!) to finish my studies there. The method I begin with depends on what the student responds to best. I first try to show them how enjoyable music is and how they can share it with family members and friends, including popular and holiday music and songs they may sing at church. Some students even like simplified jazz. I start holiday music in October and enjoy knowing how much their parents enjoy hearing and singing it. Read More

I love music so much that I want to share with anyone who wants to learn from me what I have learned and experienced with music. While I am firm believer in teaching theory and technique, I also believe that music needs to be an experience that captivates my students, no matter the age. I always ask my students what their goals are and depending on the goal this will determine the approach. Read More

I have been teaching since college, when I started a small private studio consisting of classmates, children, and adults. Since then, I have been consistently teaching in a variety of settings, including my home studio, private music academies, online lessons, and piano courses for music majors. The core of my teaching philosophy is that learning music should be enjoyable and fulfilling. I have found that allowing my students to have a say in the pieces they learn is a great way to encourage personal investment and enjoyment in learning. Read More
