For my beginner students, I start by introducing them to the drum kit, providing a bit of history, and understanding their personal goals for learning drums. We focus on fundamentals, including drum notation, and by the end of the first lesson, most students can play a basic groove and fillgiving them the tools to start learning their favorite songs. Once the fundamentals are in place, we move on to learning songs and exploring different techniques, guided by the student's individual goals. Read More

I start off by addressing breath and phonation, even with the mostadvanced singers, because singing, like anything in life, is alwaysabout the fundamental basics. I give students exercises that will helpthe student find their true and most efficient voice. I help buildmuscles that will aid in this as well.
