I am a music-loving performer and instructor living in Philadelphia, PA. I have played trumpet principally for thirteen years, and I also play the drums, bass guitar, ukulele, and trombone. Since 2010 I have been a gigging musician, performing in venues such as The Bandshell (Central Park), World Cafe Live (Philadelphia and Wilmington), Dilworth Park, and the new FringeArts headquarters. For beginners and young children, I generally demonstrate and have them practice breathing and certain terminology before we begin singing. Once we begin singing, I use the keyboard and have them practice matching pitch. We then do warm ups, and I teach them a couple phrases that will help with pronunciation and shaping their mouths to make certain sounds.
