I am just 20 years old, and while I am still a growing musician and teacher myself, I have had experience in teaching lessons for the past three years. I started teaching private lessons on acoustic guitar a couple years ago, and I have also taught classes of vocal, violin and piano students. Currently I am teaching piano and violin classes at the Salvation Army in Memphis. I have found a joy in helping students develop a love for music, as it was my first piano teacher at the age of eight who played a part in developing my love and passion for music. Read More

For more advanced students, I focus on the mastery of scales, technique, intonation, and sound production. I like to use the Andersen etude series, but this will vary from student to student. With adult students, the material covered is completely individual. Read More

For beginning students, I usually customize the material at the start so it can be more understandable. Some instructor's booklets can be confusing, so I just want to explain is as simply as possible and that may vary from student to student (everyone is different). For more advanced students (on bass and guitar), I use Chris Kemp's Journey to Planet Guitar. It contains everything a musician needs to know, presented in an innovative, easy way. Read More
