My primary instrument is voice, and I am passionate about guiding growing singers in finding their voice, developing healthy vocal technique, learning helpful music theory, and fostering a love of music! I am passionate about helping students at any level improve their skills. I have Bachelors and Masters degrees in Violin Performance and have played all over the world. For 10 years I was concertmaster of the Fresno Philharmonic and have performed as soloist and concertmaster of the Heidelberg Chamber Orchestra touring throughout Europe, Canada and the United States. I moved to the Los Angeles area in 1996 and have been a member for over 20 years of the first violin section of the Los Angeles Opera Orchestra with Placido Domingo as the Artistic Director. While I have worn a fair amount of hats throughout mylife: computer scientist, photographer, musician, practicing attorney - the desire to teach others, to pass on my knowledge and see others succeed as a result, has been a constant presence for me. One of my very first paying jobs ever in my life, was that of an SAT tutor, which I started at the age of 19. From then until I started law school at age 21, tutoring high school age students preparing to take the SAT was a regular part of my life, and where I gained valuable experience in being a teacher and a mentor to high school age individuals.
