My teaching style is very much praxial and based off of skill reinforcement. For any instrument, I will incorporate the Kodaly method (solfege) of musicianship into the curriculum. For me, my goal is to teach the student how to learn for themselves. I focus on practice techniques, assessment of tone, sound, rhythms, pitches, etc. Rather than spoon feed all of the answers to the students, I wish to encourage each musician to develop their own critical mind towards the art that they create. My teaching experience starts back at the age of 17 when my private instructor encouraged me to start teaching beginners. I have been teaching for over 12 years now and love sharing the joy and passion of music with others. I started private piano lessons at the age of 6 and started writing songs and teaching myself music production when I was 13. My grandpa turned my dad's garage into a music studio for me when I was 16 and I started teaching piano lessons from my parents home in Riverside soon after. Read More

Born and raised in California, I grew up in a musical family. My father, a singer/songwriter and guitarist, always encouraged me to sing, compose and just make music no matter who was listening. I started trombone lessons at age 13, and immediately fell in love with the art of jazz and improvisation. As a member of the Berkeley High School Jazz Ensemble, I was met with opportunities to travel the world playing music at the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland, the Umbria Jazz Festival in Italy and the Kurashiki Music Festival in Japan.
