Our last recital was focused on the student's performing their own compositions that we wrote together in our lessons. This is how I developed a love for preparing students specifically for college auditions/music conservatories. Since graduating from Berklee I have begun teaching locally in Chicago, preparing students for auditions at music conservatories, as well as teaching theory, ear training and other skills needed for musicianship at the professional level. I got my start playing at local clubs in Minneapolis under the mentorship of the top musicians in the Twin Cities . After that, students can graduate to the Alfred's upper level book series, which includes theory and practical playing books as well as fun solo and popular music books leveled specifically for them.
