Instruments: Trumpet
My favorite part of teaching was getting students excited and motivated to practice their instrument by exposing them to new pieces that they truly desire to learn. Also, when students were frustrated I loved to find different solutions to difficulties they had, as this would give them a fresh approach and allow them to improve at a faster pace. I have enjoyed teaching students of all ages and would welcome anyone who is motivated into my studio! Read More
Instruments: Piano Violin
I do this myself without straining the student. Gradually, the student begins to naturally hold the instrument. From this point on, we gradually begin to play songs on our own. Children are eager to play because it is easy and interesting for them. With older children who are already playing, there are other tasks. I work on the technique of playing the instrument, while motivating them in various ways so that it is interesting for them to do routine work. Read More

I have been singing since the age of 10 when she first began performing at some of her father’s piano concerts. Graduating from both Lawrence University and Alverno College, she studied vocal performance, music education, and French. My favorite vocal genres include Broadway, Classical, Pop, Light Opera, and Jazz. I has performed in numerous theatres in the Milwaukee area such as the Florentine Opera, Shorewood Players, Off the Wall Broadway Theatre, Sunset Playhouse, Charles Allis Art Museum, and the Betty Brinn Children’s Museum.Currently, I maintains a private vocal and piano studio in the Milwaukee area. Instruments: Trumpet
I began to teach privately in college, where I inherited a small studio of three students at varying degrees of proficiency from a graduating senior. When I they came to me they had many major issues in their technique and approach to the instrument, but through regular sessions and practice they surpassed their expectations. I have worked with several different marching band programs as a trumpet instructor, and I was also the brass instructor for a music shop near my college. Read More

My teaching style is relaxed and easy going. This is because I try my best to cater to my student's needs. My goal when teaching a student is to be a resource to help them reach their full musical potential. This can be done by setting realistic goals, practice routines and using tension free techniques. I also try my best when teaching to give my students a safe space where they can feel free to grow, create, and express. Read More

Instruments: Voice
I use the bel canto method when I teach singing: simply put , beautiful vowel-based singing! This goes for all ages. I use standard warm ups such as those based on Estelle Liebling, as well as more non traditional methods such as those in CoreSinging and the Funky n Fun series. Overall I believe voice to be very customizable as a discipline and make sure each student gets what they need at every lesson- whether it's additional help with confidence in their ear if they are newer or more song polishing if they're more advanced or intermediate.
