I then usually work on scales, technique and etudes, and then work on any major repertoir that may have been assigned. I teaches students ages 3 and up. Here are my teaching materials; I teach scales,Blue scales, triad, arpeggios, sight reading, diatonic, theory in music and Suzuki method music. Students will also have opportunity to choose the kind of music they love to to such as Jazz, RB, Hiphop, Gospel music etc. Ages 5-7 students have the same opportunity too but Its will be coming from , Teaching Little Fingers. I don't teach out of method books. I will write notes during the lesson and give them to the student, and sometimes give them websites to look up or other resources I feel would be helpful. I like to teach the student how to play songs from bands that they like, or whatever else they are interested in. I find that not having a book allows us the freedom to take the lessons in any direction that we want, without having to follow a set path. Read More

No matter the age or experience, I try to have a continuous dialogue between the student and myself about their progress and what direction they'd like to head in to make sure they are engaging with material that suits their needs and goals at the same time. The best thing about teaching are the "a ha" moments! I love seeing a smile - that tells me a student LOVES what they were just able to do. And then we high-five, of course! I love when students tell me they surprised themselves , saying something along the lines of , "I didn't know I could make that sound!". The program is a week long program for kids ages 4-18 and during the program I gave lessons to over 15 students. Shortly after, I began to advertise my ability to give private instruction.
