I started playing violin when I was 7. I've been with Musika since 2011 (while I was in college). I have experience teaching Suzuki method (violin) from young age kids to old students. I also have been teaching Suzuki Method (K-12) strings at a local arts school and also at a Korean community center. I am currently teaching music subject at school as well. I've also found that a combination of classical and modern pop music can go a long way in helping students enjoy the violin and motivate them to practice and continue to learn. Read More

As an accomplished self taught pianist and composer I've spent my life experimenting with different methods, material and practice beliefs. I can teach and speak more broadly now about music, not as an elitist activity but as a language vital to humans whether it is "spoken" or heard. My experience is derived from my work as an instructor at an Ann Arbor music school. I have taught a wide range of ages, and enjoy every age I teach for different reasons. I believe everyone has something new to offer. I have played in punk, rock, and ska bands, as well as playing with certain groups at the music school.
