For younger students, I mainly use Suzuki teaching method, combined with etudes, like Alwin Schroeder's 170 Foundation Studies. Teaching all age group students with scales as well. This knowledge is vital, for it is the opening for what I can do to get the student to develop a true attachment and love for playing drums.
