Instruments: Piano Voice Trumpet
The student who speaks or plays their instrument more also practices and learns more. Students need opportunity to play along with more experience performers and I seek out every chance to insert my students into this role. I have secured opportunities for students to be the opening act for Texas country star Jolie Holiday. Recently my high school vocal student was the youngest semi-finalist in the OK City Stars competition. Read More
Instruments: Trumpet Trombone Euphonium French Horn Tuba
My teaching experience began in 2006. During my college years I taught trombone to fellow students and later as a college instructor and high school band director, taught young adults. My experience as an elementary school teacher has rewarded me with skills to work with younger children. I now work with seasoned musicians as a mentor and coach. I have fun too. I have performed with Kristin Chenoweth, The Electric Light Orchestra, Nancy Wilson, and Ray Charles. Read More
Instruments: Piano Voice Music
I base my teaching methods on the student I am teaching. For students that are children at a beginner level, I typically begin with the essential elements of creating vocal foundation which I draw from many sources. Once we have set a good foundation, we tend to begin working on repertoire that is appropriate for the level at which they are singing, using those songs as learning opportunities. For adults, I begin by asking about the goals of the individual student and I then formulate a strategy to help the student reach their specific singing goals. Read More
Instruments: Guitar Ukulele Classical Guitar Acoustic Guitar
During my time as a graduate teaching assistant for the University of Louisville, I learned the importance of effective and appropriate communication between students and instructors teaching class guitar, guitar ensembles, private instruction, and class ukulele. My guitar pedagogy background allows me to approach each student with a variety of styles and techniques that help streamline student progress and keep the passion of making music thriving. My students are encouraged to compete with and offer recitals of the music we study, whether it be standard repertoire or an original work. Read More
Instruments: Trombone
My training has always been performance-focused, but I'm a believer that you cannot teach what you don't know how to do yourself. I've spent lots of time absorbing information about all different aspects of performing and composing, and because of that I'm now in a great position to share what's worked for me, and what else could work for people of different learning styles. I've premiered multiple pieces, and have more premieres lined up for later this year. Read More
Instruments: Saxophone
You are going to enjoy music more than you have before after we work together. My focus is you, the student. You will not leave my lesson with your shoulders up around your ears because you are tense from the difficult lesson. You will encounter difficulty, but my style of teaching is to show you that you can do it. We will learn fundamentals and rules of music, but these are necessary to make the music sound more beautiful. Read More

Hi, I am a kind and creative music instructor who loves working with students of all ages. I attended Nazareth College School of Music in Rochester, New York from 2018-2022. I received a degree in Music Education with a double primary of Trombone and Oboe, I know a little weird. I am currently attending Oklahoma City University for Multiple Woodwind Performance, meaning I am a performance major that specializes in all the woodwinds, expect one, so flute, clarinet, oboe, and saxophone.
