I worked at a children's educational summer camp where I instructed choirs and chorus singers for Musical Theater. I am constantly searching for the best way to convey musical ideas and translate them into making players with the skills to enjoy what they are playing. After that we learn how being confident in these individual notes are the building blocks to learning things like scales, chords, and up to full complex scores. I like for students not to just understand about how to play their instrument, but to understand how this all fits together and WHY. If I am teaching a student on any instrument my job is to equip them with the necessary tools to eventually be able to make these connections and see how these consistent patterns fit together to make this amazing art we call music. I am a passionate musician "from the womb". I've sang since I was 4-years-old and began official training in school at 11-years-old. I started playing the violin just the year before that. I graduated with a worship leadership degree free Visible Music College in Memphis, Tennessee in 2020. I began lessons for piano my senior year of high school, and I continued training for about 2 years during in college. I love to watch my students become better versions of themselves through the medium of music. I never want my students to be satisfied with reaching a destination on their goal charts. I want my students to become so infatuated with the journey, that they will seek to continue to look for new experiences to explore. I create this environment by keeping lessons diverse and dynamic. I make each student compile a list of goals for themselves, 3 big goals, 5 goals the lead to each of the 3 big goals, 10 goals to lead to each of the 5 goals, and finally, daily goals that will help us accomplish the 10 goals.
