During my first meeting with a new student I ask them questions about their prior experiences, current knowledge, and musical aspirations. From there I tailor a unique learning strategy geared towards their goals, personality, and aptitude. I always try to use music that the student enjoys to spotlight the concept we are covering, and encourage the student to think about it while they listen to their favorite songs. I come from a very musical family and started piano at five years old. Since then, my accomplishments include an Honorable Mention at the Korea Times Youth Music Competition. I have performed in two solo recitals and have performed biannually with the Beverly Hills Chamber Orchestra. I have participated in the Frederic Chopin Felix Mendelssohn Minifest 2005 and have regularly performed at the Colburn School of Performing Arts from 2003 - 2008.
