For beginning students who are children, I start with some simple rhythmic concepts and some easy sight reading. My teaching experience started in musical theatre as a writer when I was 17. I was the bassist in an original production. My more recent experience has been as an educational artist for Alliance Theatre in Atlanta, Ga. I’ve had private students from all ages and ethnic backgrounds.
