I am teaching different styles of music: classical, pop, rock, jazz and encouraging my students not only play well, but also develop their passion for music and art in general. I am singing with my students for 3-5 minutes each lesson which help them to hear music in a better way. My little players really love it. We played in New York, New Jersey and Ohio, and of course, Florida. I've always like the creative arts, which led to owning my own advertising agency based in Saint Petersburg, managing advertising accounts that included a division of Anheuser Busch Agricultural. For the last eight year, I have been with the Downtrodden Road Band. Currently, I play part time with the Down Trodden Road Band writing and recording. It is really fulfilling for me to see my students use the knowledge they gain from my instructions to improve their playing level. Effective practice habits are agreed upon between myself and each student. Goals cannot be achieved without effective practice habits. Students are encouraged to participate in their community and school music performance activities, enter competitions and do music examinations. I have enjoyed a long and successful career in music and music education. I have performed at over 2000 events, taught students of all ages along the way, and also have taught flute and music theory at the college level. I am semi-retired now, and enjoy playing first flute in a symphonic wind ensemble, playing wedding ceremonies with a harpist, pianist, or acoustic guitarist, as well playing in a jazz quartet.
