I studied under Dr. Ernest Salem at Cal State Fullerton and received various master class from members of Talich Quartet, Mary Straub, Wei-Wei Lu, and most notably James Buswell. My former teacher, Andrea Byers, studied with world renown, Ivan Galamian. I received my bachelor's with an emphasis in music education. For beginning students, I like to start with the beginnig Suzuki books, and I incorporate many Suzuki methods into my teaching style. As an accompaniment to Suzuki, I also use Klengal's Technical Studies for the Violoncello, Vol. 1 in order to solidify a solid understanding of scales and hand positions. Once a student demonstrates appropriate dexterity, I begin to introduce solo repetoire that they would like to prepare for studio performances and any other pieces that they have an interest in playing. I graduated from the renowned Istanbul Technical University Turkish Music Conservatory Performing Arts Bachelor Program in Istanbul/Turkey. After my graduation, I studied Sound Design at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. I have worked on projects, from performances studio recording sessions to podcasting, and sound for films. I'm also a co-founding member of the EVA String Quartet, a female string quartet that performs both classical and Turkish music arrangements. Read More
