Teaching is one of the greatest joys in my life. I genuinely love helping students discover their voice whether thats through singing, playing, writing songs, or simply connecting to music in a deeper way. Watching someone gain confidence, express themselves, and grow through music is incredibly rewarding, and I feel lucky to be a part of that journey. My approach is student-centered, supportive, and personalized. I take time to understand each students unique goals, personality, and learning style so I can tailor lessons that truly fit them. The key to being successful in playing the piano is Practice. I always encourage my students to practice but also, it is very important for the Parent to take part in their child's learning. I assign homework weekly/bi-weekly depending on how often we meet for lessons. At the start of the next lesson, we will go over the homework and I will either pass them or they are required to re-do it for homework. Read More

I believe that every student learns differently and at different levels. I also know that you get out of lessons what you put into them so I require that students practice at home in addition to their weekly lessons. I have recitals twice a year and I believe that being able to play in a group setting and having a goal of performing really gives students the motivation to practice. Read More

So, even while building fundamentals, music lessons should be fun and geared toward what the student wants out of all of this. Whether that's learning a specific song, style, cool musically visual trick, or just jamming, I'm here for it all! Musical journeys are specific to the individual and therefore there is no one path that all students must follow. Read More
