I began teaching music in high school, 7 years ago, as part of a volunteer program to help local elementary and middle school students. I continued through my undergraduate program leading sectionals for my ensembles and coaching local high school students. I have taught trombone, trumpet, piano, and guitar to students of all ages from 10 to 60 years old, and I love the opportunity to learn from my students and share my passion for music! Read More

I first began teaching at the age of sixteen. I was hired to work at Berkshire Summer Music, a music camp for talented young children. I worked as a violin and viola instructor, teaching children of all ages, assisting with their technique and helped develop good practicing habits. Since then, I have worked at a variety of music camps, where I have taught bass, guitar, songwriting, and led a variety of ensembles. Read More
Instruments: Cello
At the bare minimum, there are four skills that one must become adept in in order to play cello. 1) Proper body movement and coordination 2) Left hand technique (the hand which determines the notes on the instrument) 3) Right hand technique (the hand which manipulates the bow and produces sound) 4) A basic grasp of music theory Every student of mine will be trained in the classical sense, and learn some classical repertoire, because classical technique on the cello is the foundation for any other style the student would like to perform. Nothing is more rewarding than seeing one of my students develop a passion for music! Therefore, it is important that each student progresses at his or her own place. I encourage this by setting goals and assignments for my students at each lesson. Acknowledging accomplishments helps fuel a student's desire to progress and makes students eager to learn more. By trying to find out what inspires the student, I can successfully tailor my instruction to their wants and needs. Read More
Instruments: Piano Guitar Voice Drums Bass Guitar
With more advanced students, furthering a students development and introducing more challenging concepts is what I focus on teaching. With drumming, I like to incorporate concepts such as polyrhythms, an understanding of different genres, improvisation, and ear training. For students that are preparing to pursue a degree in music, I can help them prepare for an audition because of my experience of being a college music student in the past. Read More
Instruments: Voice
Because I learn a lot by performing, I also encourage my students to perform as often as possible, in whatever capacity they feel comfortable - auditions, recitals, musicals, gigs, concerts, karaoke, you name it! I believe it is really important to hone your craft on stage, in addition to constant practice in the studio and at home. I love teaching students of all ages, but am especially experienced with students ages 10-30s. Read More
Instruments: Guitar
Music has been my life passion, since I was 10 years old. At 15 I enter the Juan N Copras Consevatory to persue classical guitar performance. In 2010 I was invited to perform in Barichara Music Festival wich has been one of the most rewarding experiences in my carrer so far, because I was exposed to great performers and I enjoyed playing for big audiences. I was then invited to perform and study in Annapolis for 3 months by the founder of the Baricahra Music Festical, Jairo Delgado. Read More
