My teaching experience began while helping at the New Orleans String Project when my sisters were learning Viola. In my off time, I would assist the teachers. Later I began giving lessons through some members fo the Greater New Orleans Youth Orchestra to which I have played and excelled through all of the group's sinfonia, Philharmonia, and Symphony. I have been teaching private piano and voice lessons for over 20 years, and I still love it! I love teaching all ages, beginner thru advanced. As an undergraduate, I was tapped to teach for my university's preparatory music department. After graduation, I started teaching privately, and I've never looked back. To complement my studies on drums, I studied jazz theory with reknown bassist and educator Scott Mason and jazz arranging with former Buddy Rich trombonist, Tom Garling. After graduating in May 2011, I have had the oppoutunity to play in major Chicago venues like The Metro, Lincoln Hall, Congress Theater, Reggies, Rosa's and many others.
