I'm a passionate and motivated vocalist/guitarist/lyricist who is mostlynew to teaching in the formal sense. I've spent time in the past teaching friends here and there, but never really setup a regular clientele due to family or work commitments etc. While I consider myself to be a versatile vocalistwho can sing most styles of music I belive my greatest gift to be able to access the deep emotions that make a song stand out to the listener. For beginning students, I typically begin by teaching how to use proper technique and how to read music, chord changes or tablature. Once the student is ready, I will work with the student on pieces or songs that we choose together. For guitar students, I use songs as a basis for teaching scales, new chords and improvisation. For drum students, I use songs and solos as a means for teaching rudiments, grooves, fills and improvisation. Read More

My teaching experience has been as eclectic as my musical experiences. Over the past 2 years I have been teaching private lessons at my home studio consistently. Currently I'm looking to expanding my student-base and focus on teaching full time while finishing my final year of graduate studies. The majority of my students have been beginners ages 5-14, although I've been giving informal guitar lessons to peers for the majority of my college and graduate school time. Read More

I am a guitarist/bassist originally from the South Shore of Massachusetts. In 2011, I graduated from Berklee College of Music with a degree in Professional Music. As a musician I have toured all through the east coast and have traveled west all the way to Montana. As a guitarist I strive to be creative through improvisation and draw inspiration from many different artists. These are ranging from The Beatles to Phish to Radiohead and everything in between. I have been playing guitar for nearly 20 years. Over those years I have played many different styles, playing different instruments in different bands, from open mics to big venues all over the country. I love playing music and love helping others discover their love as well. One note worthy teaching gig I’ve had was working for a company in Nassau County, NY teaching guitar and music theory to developmentally challenged adults in a day program. There is no musician I will turn away; my focus is guitar, but I have many instruments and can introduce the basics for many such as drums, violin, viola, cello, piano, bass guitar, as well as composition and arrangement. I have worked with many bands, ensembles, and chamber groups, and would love the opportunity to help you achieve your musical goals. Whatever your musical interests, I'll help you get to where you want to go. Read More

I let each student progress at their own pace and give realistic goals for practice between lessons. You will see results immediately which will encourage and motivate you to keep going. Taking a student from not knowing anything to actually being able to play music is very rewarding and inspiring, and that's why I love what I do! Read More
