I have had to opportunity to participate in eight Pennsylvania Association for Music Education Band and Orchestra Festivals. My methods vary between each student. For beginning students, that are not learning in a school setting, I typlically start with Hal Lenard's Essential Elements For Band. Once the student had progressed, I will start to introduce solo repetoire that the student will be instested in, which could be pop tunes or other type of music. In 1999, I graduated from Lebanon Valley College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Education with piano as my major instrument. I began performing by singing in church as a child. I've participated musically in church worship services throughout my life soloing and accompanying choirs on flute and piano. I enjoy helping my students achieve more and continuously inspire them to become better musicians.
