Since then, I have had students intermittently throughout my studies, and I am looking forward to building a permanent studio in the Hudson Valley. In my last semester of undergraduate studies, I student taught with an elementary and a high school band. My favorite thing to teach is flute lessons! For elementary students, I usually have them work out of Standard of Excellence books or Rubank Elementary method books and supplement them with fun popular music they enjoy to play. For middle school and high school students, I encourage them to work on appropriate solos, scales, and duets we can play together. I've always been a passionate and curious musician, ever since I picked up a flute in fourth grade. I have been dedicated to both flute and percussion ever since then, and continue to learn and play at Sarah Lawrence College. I am currently focusing on playing in pit bands for musicals, as they are my favorite performance setting.
