For young beginning students, I use the Elementary Drum Method by Roy Burns. For middle school aged through adult students, I use either Progressive Steps to Syncopation by Ted Reed or Standard Snare Drum Method by Benjamin Podemski. For young drumset students, I use Alfred's Drumset Method by Dave Black. And encounrage each to reach their goal for that lesson. Acknowledging when the student is progressing, attentive and eager to keep on learning. I have taught privately over the summer of 2014-2016 orchestral percussion and marching band. I am the current percussion director for Middletown High School. Along with that, over the summer I also teach the front ensemble for Washington High School. And am currently teaching front ensemble for Western Frederick Indoor Percussion.
