With any student who is in a beginning sort of stage with their musicality, I will start off by teaching them basic techniques, simple notes or chords(dependent on the type of instrument), and rudimentary knowledge of the notational system. That being said, sometimes learning songs (covers) can be the best way to learn quickly and it can be a lot of fun. Something I've done many times too is writing precise exercises for students in order to address and target specific needs. I'm a professional musician who enjoys working with students and passing along my knowledge of the arts. In 2013 I graduated from the University of Evansville with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Percussion Performance and a Jazz Studies Certificate. During the summer of 2013, I attended New York University's Broadway Percussion Seminar and took private lessons on Timpani and sight reading. In 2015 I received my certification in the operation of Pro Tools in a recording studio and a degree in Contemporary Drum Performance from the Los Angeles College of Music in Pasadena. Read More

As exciting as that sounded to me, I really felt it was time to spread my new knowledge away from Hollywood, and begin teaching where I live; in the Inland Empire.
