I started taking lessons at 5 years old. I took private lessons at Eastman school of music in Rochester, NY. I graduated high school and then headed to California to attend the Los Angeles Music Academy for the Drum Program where I graduated and earned my Degree in Music in 2003. I started playing piano at 9 years old and took private lessons from Andy Calabrese for 3 years. From beginner to advanced, I believe in the classic's like " Ted Reed's Syncopation ", " Stick Control " " The Drummer's Complete Vocabulary As Taught by Alan Dawson ". I believe the best tool is MUSIC. Playing along with music or musicians will ultimately help the most. But fundamentals are a must. Push/Pull or Open/Close Technique will help develop hand speed around the drum set. Finger technique will help with fast drum patterns and single stroke roll speed. Read More
