I was born in August 1984 in New Halkidona-Athens, Greece. At the age of 7, I started my musical education by taking piano lessons. I did not finish my piano studies but the fire of music was burning strong inside me, and at the age of 15 i decided to study drums. For beginning and young students, we always start with fundamental concepts - producing a good sound, developing a sense of rhythm and pulse, building music reading skills, and fostering good practice habits. Once these skills have been developed, we progess to working solo repertoire and ensemble music. I don't want to be too easy and I don't want to be too hard. We all have life events that keep us from practicing 16 hours a day. Also, you don't want to practice 15 minutes a week either. A good balance between work and play is needed. Another key practice we will always be refining on are the rudiments. This will keep those chops sharp for direct accuracy and speed. Music has been one of my passions since I was a little girl! I took up piano at age 8, violin at 13, and drums at 15. I've been known to belt out a tune here and there, too! There is nothing better than having an afternoon to lose yourself to creating and playing music. In high school, I was Concert Master of the Philharmonic Orchestra. I've had the opportunity to perform on the drums at various venues and was invited by my drum instructor to return to the studio to become an instructor myself, where I taught for three years.
