BA, University of New Haven, Music and Sound Recording
I'm a passionate and experienced instructor who's love for teaching and music is personified through each and every student I teach. I have been a musician since grade school playing percussion for the school band. I am a professional musician as well and have unlimited experience as well as knowledge to share with my students. I also have a bachelors degree in Music and Sound recording from The University of New Haven. My goal as a teacher is to give my students not only exposure to different types of music, but to help them work hard towards reaching their own personal goals.
I began as a formal teacher during my senior year at The University of New Haven, teaching private instrumental lessons as well as tutoring existing students in theory and other music classes. I have taught students as young as 5 years old as well as adults much older than myself with incredible results. My primary instruments are guitar and drums/percussion. I have also taught numerous piano and bass guitar students all whom have recieved a great start to their musical journey. I also have formed great relationships with my students and have had a majority of them stay with me for many years.
Each student is unique in the way they learn and progress. I come in to each new lesson trying to learn what works best for each student, as well as what each student is trying to gain from the lessons. For example a very young student may just need exposure to the world of music in a very fun learing atmosphere, while an older or more advanced student may want more a more intense lesson. I strive to make each lesson fun and informative for every student I teach.
I have a very fun yet effective teaching style. I try to help students reach their personal goals on the instrument. I also like to recognize each achievement no matter how small to show my students how their practicing and hard work has paid off. I want each student to progress at their own pace and mostly to show them what the world of music has to offer.
Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.Ok
Are you sure that's your only availability? The more availability you easier it will be to arrange a teacher for you.
