Hello! I am a freelance jazz saxophonist and woodwind player living in Jersey City. In 2016, I graduated from William Paterson University with a degree in jazz saxophone performance. I took two semesters of clarinet pedagogy at KU and I frequently presented clinics to middle school students in Lawrence public schools. my experiences as a musician include performing in both classical and jazz groups in every venue imaginable. These performances include recital halls, banquet halls, school auditoriums, night clubs, bars, restaurants, weddings, parties, church ceremonies, community theater and parades. I encourage my students to practice like I practice and to perform as often as they can. Method books are a great structured way to quickly get confident on an instrument, however they don't often encourage listening skills or creativity.
