My passion for singing dates back to when I was a child, singing in choirs and performing in churches. In 2011, I graduated from the Greatbach School of Music at Houghton College, earning a bachelor's degree in Vocal Performance with honors. I have been blessed to perform in several regional theatre productions, as well as two off-Broadway shows. I have brought my love of coaching and teaching to these productions. For beginning students who are children, I typically start with Hal Leonard's Essential Elements. Once the student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce solo repertoire appropriate for their first recital performance. For adults, I try to find out what the student is interested in, and guide my instruction accordingly to keep the lessons engaging and fun, no matter their ability level.
