I fully invest myself into each of my students and keep track of their progress diligently to be sure to cater to their needs. I have used all of the store brand version of piano books, and find a preference in the ones I was taught in from the 70's which are too many to mention; but depending on the student, I will find a book that is age appropriate and go on from there. I continue to push the student to get better no matter their pace, and in a constant reminder, that slow and steady will win the race as opposed to sloppily breezing through a subject. We want to avoid a student taking three steps back due to lack of rudimental and physicality refinement.
