The method books applies to my philosphy of teaching rhythm in syllables (ta, ti-ti, etc.) and found success with all my students in their abilty to read notes and play well. I use a combination of established teaching methods, such as Alfred, Bastien, Hanon and Hal Leonard, as well as my own methods, which I've developed over the years. I also effectively utilize technology, such as Finale notation software to create special arrangements of songs for my students, YouTube videos for audio/visual support, and iPads. I have cultivated a warm demeanor and good sense of humor, which has helped my students remain engaged and in anticipation of the next lesson. Read More

Two years later, I still have the privilege of teaching those students who have participated in recitals, with enthusiasm to teach more. While teaching, I like to be active in my profession. I participate in recitals, workshops and other vocal activities. Read More

Through repetition, they learn skills and develop confidence by experiencing success at every stage of the process. Read More
