I specialize in orchestral repertoire, however my career has allowed for solo engagements as well as extensive chamber music across North America and Europe. I currently serve as the Principal Clarinet of the New Bedford Symphony Orchestra and Phoenix, as well as Second/Bass Clarinet with Boston Lyric Opera. My passion for teaching began in my Junior year of high school in 2011-2012, when I spent 6 months teaching guitar lessons to elementary school students at a local YMCA after-school program. With a class size of approximately 10-15 students, I learned many valuable teaching methods for students of all backgrounds and learning methods. Each student is unique. They require their own method and pace of training. My hope is to help the student reach their goals while still enjoying their time practicing for it. The routine that works best for the student will prove itself over time depending on the student. It may be to work one way for one student but not so much for another student. I have taught for 15 years in the after school music program system in addition to maintaining a private clarinet studio with students of different ages and skill levels.
