I teach Suzuki and Energy Efficient Cello Technique. For beginning students who are children, I typically start with the Suzuki Cello Book. Once the student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce solo repertoire appropriate for their first recital performance. I always believed I'd be in an orchestra one day, but when I ended up at the University of Michigan for my undergraduate degree and then Northwestern for my Master's, my interests began to change and I began to realize that I am not truly a section player, but more of a soloist. After a brief stint in LA, I made the move to NYC to join The Inventions Trio with my bandmates and jazz heroes, Marvin Stamm and Bill Mays, and to start subbing in the hit Broadway musical, Spring Awakening...and the rest is history!!
