PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE My teaching experience started in 2007 with teaching young kids from our youth meeting in church. Now I am teaching in my home studio in Belleville, NJ since 2016. With more than 10 years experience, I love working with new students of all ages. I use a curriculum developed by Mrs, Irina Gorin which specialize in kids from 4-6 years. For beginning students who are children, I typically start with Suzuki level books, String Explorer and Fiddletime joggers to increase sightreading and listening skills. Once the student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce solo repertoire appropriate for their first recital performance. For adults, I try to find out what the student is interested in, and guide my instruction accordingly to keep the lessons engaging and fun, no matter their ability level. Read More

First of all, I always make my students enjoy music when they are learning anything from me. With beginners, I always be patient and kind, especially with young kids. Always singing songs with them, playing together with them and at the same time we will do some music games together. It helps young kids to get to know music and at the same time they won't get bored! Although sometimes they don't want to practice, it won't be a problem to me because we can always do other things like music theory, music introduction and singing when they are tired. Read More
