Hi! My name is Peter. I'm a drum set/percussion, cello, and piano instructor. I grew up in a very musical family, my father is an opera singer and drum set player, my mother is a conductor and piano teacher, and my brother is a violinist and pianist, so you can see why I've grown up to play all three instruments! My teaching career started during my undergraduate degree at Juilliard where I was deeply involved with several educational programs, both in and out of Juilliard. I taught cello at the Union City Music Project, The Washington Heights Conservatory, the MAP pre-college program at Juilliard, and also taught privately. Since then Ive dedicated myself more to playing in orchestra, Ive played with the Cincinnati Symphony, Baltimore Symphony, New Jersey Symphony and Im currently playing with the Boston Symphony, but have maintained a private studio since. I began playing cello in elementary school and started teaching cello lessons while I was in middle school. I love to teach and share music with my students. I graduated Manhattan School of Music in 1977  and proceeded to get my Masters degree and teaching certificate. I performed at churches, NJ Pops,musicals at the Count Basie theatre, Strand theatre, and Papermill Playhouse and I have played with several opera companies. Read More
