In 1994 Oleg Rutkovsky immigrated to USA and settled in Fort Lee, NJ. He made his American debut recital in Memphis, TN in 1995. Since 1994 he performed with such orchestras as New Jersey Symphony, Albany Symphony, New York Virtuosi Chamber Symphony, New Philharmonic of New Jersey, Brooklyn Philharmonic Orchestra, Bachanalia Chamber Ensemble and appeared in a few Broadway productions such "Ragtime" and "Music Man". In 1996, Oleg was invited to perform with the Houston Festival Orchestra as Concertmaster under the the button of Maxim Shostakovich, son of the the great Russian composer, Dmitry Shostakovich. I emphasize ear-training and a physically relaxed and technically accurate approach to cello playing so that students are free to create music without limitations or physical discomfort. I love cultivating an environment for young ones that both excites them and keeps them learning as much material as possible from the get-go. Young students are incredibly smart and spongey and I love learning from my own students the growth and knowledge that is actually possible to cultivate in young students. I'm a dedicated cellist and guitarist who really enjoys working with people of all ages and ability levels. I graduated with a BA in cello performance from Connecticut College and went on to study at Virginia Tech. I have played in amateur orchestras as well as in chamber ensembles. I also have performance experience on guitar in a variety of settings. I am a huge fan of live music and believe that the two best ways to carry on the tradition of music is through performance as well as one on one and classroom teaching. Read More

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE My teaching experience started in 2007 with teaching young kids from our youth meeting in church. Now I am teaching in my home studio in Belleville, NJ since 2016. With more than 10 years experience, I love working with new students of all ages. I use a curriculum developed by Mrs, Irina Gorin which specialize in kids from 4-6 years.
