I became the Concert Mistress of the UCSD Chamber Orchestra and look forward to continuing my education for Music Performance, Music Education, and Psychology. In my music career, I've formed duets, trios, and quartets, to volunteer and perform at weddings, funerals, nursing homes, and other private events. I also am a part of an indie rock/bluegrass band called the County Fair, playing the fiddle. My methods might not be what people want but there probably what they need. I would start teaching them just basic theory if there beginning or even if there a little bit more along they probably still do need theory and don't know it. Most students were sometimes getting good but sometimes they have a hard time playing with difficult notes that I teach. Some students were getting good on the beginning methods and understanding what the music book is going to read and learn about. I encourage the students to practice the beginning methods seriously for about 30 minutes. If the student is getting a little hard, she can take a break for 10 minutes and go back to the homework. My teaching experience began in high school as a counselor at a summer string camp where I worked with young students individually and in small groups. During my undergraduate degree I was focused on becoming a better player myself so I could become a better teacher to others and I worked frequently with my peers to work on my abilities as an instructor.
