Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. After studying with Jay for a few years, Marcus moved to Virginia Beach, VA where he learned from players such as Scott Mishoe and Jay Rakes. In the mean time, Marcus began playing in various bands and recorded his first album Martian Landscape. At times, you would even be able to catch Marcus on stage with Paul Gilbert. I start by teaching methods and theories, I like to approach this in lots of different ways so that my students don't get burned out. I use flashcards, interactive games, and songs that my students are familiar with to introduce these concepts. I find that once the student knows the basics, they are quickly able to apply them to any piece of music set in front of them.This gives the student more confidence early on, which lasts because the knowledge of the basics doesn't fade.
