Neil Garrard is a guitarist/singer/songwriter/producer from Atlanta, Georgia. EXPERIENCE
I have taught all skill levels for five years and it is something I will always enjoyed doing. I am aware that no two people play or learn the same way, and I will always make sure the student gets what they want out of the instrument. It has always been important to me to make each lesson fun and something the student looks forward to, rather than it become a hindrance if they are not at the skill level they desire to be. I always encourage my students to find their own style in guitar once the fundamentals are understood, and even enjoy helping with their own music they compose as well. Whether the guitar is played as a hobby or a form of expression, I will make sure they are getting the most out of their instrument by teaching them everything they need and want to know.
METHODS USED
My guitar methodology focuses on professional mastery through constructive criticism and deep musical discipline. We strip away the fluff to master core fundamentals: chords, keys, octaves, and scales. Beyond the physical, I teach the underlying philosophy of the instrument and the vital importance of playing by ear. By merging strict structural knowledge with raw sonic intuition, I give you the exact tactical framework needed to decode, adapt, and play absolutely anything you want—fast. I create each lesson to your interests and goals/
LESSON STYLE
I am a motivated instructor that teaches with positive reinforcement and will always make the lesson fun and productive. Every student learns at their own pace and I will teach accordingly so the student is never overwhelmed or discouraged. It is also crucial that I make sure the student understands why certain aspects of guitar theory exist, (scales,modes etc) so they know their importance and how it will be applied in future. I like to teach in a very efficient and effective manner, but also with complete patience and welcoming of any questions the student may have.
