I am a passionate performer and teacher who loves sharing my love for music with students. I graduated from Carnegie Mellon University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Creative Writing and Vocal Performance. I continued my training at Manhattan School of Music and received my Master of Music in Voice in 2016. I have been lucky enough to study and perform all over the world, such as Oderzo, Italy, and Belle-Ile, France. Read More

I am fully student centered! Music is a pleasure, and learning it should be as well. All genres of music deserve respect, and I am pleased to teach any and all. (I do have a special fondness for mixing styles.) Read More

I truly love helping people uncover their passion for singing and developing their unique voice. During the first lesson, I ask the students about their musical goals and if there are particular techniques they feel they want or need to master. I ask the student to keep a record of this, as having a mission or musical goals is vital in keeping engaged with practice. From here, I help them isolate the various techniques they are working towards in addition to the aspects I feel need attention. Read More

I like my lessons to be fun! I like to start my lesson with a "music swap": we each play one minute of a song that we found that week from youtube or spotify and take 30-60 seconds to say why we found it interesting or inspiring (it can be any genre). We then aim to discuss and practice a new technical skill and use exercises to develop it, we work on a song from the method series or a song that the student wants to work on (I often transpose pop/rock songs for my students), and then rhythm training, ear training, and music theory concepts are interspersed throughout. I believe that creativity is important and I use Alfred and Hal Leonard books as well as theory books to help with the lessons. For adults, I try to find out what the student is interested in, and guide my instruction accordingly to keep the lessons engaging and fun, no matter their ability level. I also try to teach music theory, chord progressions and all the musical scales in the major keys. Read More

However, if you want to be apart of more then one that is ok too! I have nothing but time to help you discover your vibe. Lastly, rhythm is everything, to be off beat is everything. Also, there is a thing called tone deaf as some people have trouble keeping a beat and sings off key. This is all okay! Anyone can find rhythm from with in we just have to slower our pace and tone down the noise with in our everyday lives and find our own sound. Read More

I have always had a love of teaching and for the intricacies of Vocal Technique. I have built a private studio on the foundations of traditional bel canto technique with a strong emphasis on the Italian School. I believe in consistent practice with scales, arpeggios and other exercises that help students build and strengthen their voices and navigate their registers. Correct breath support is too often a mystery for students, something we will demystify in our sessions. Read More

It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.
