I'm an engaging and energetic musician/teacher that thrives in helping my students discover their passion for music. After graduating from the University of Delaware with a Bachelor of Arts (concentration in Creative Writing and Jazz Studies) in 2005, I have spent the past 17 years helping hundreds of private students of all ages, ability levels, backgrounds, and styles discover their musical voice on their chosen instrument. As an active performing musician, I've played in a variety of bands/contexts in my local community, helping to support, create, and grow the local music scene, while encouraging my students to perform while providing them advice on how to best do so. My teaching experience rests in observations and with my peers. I have taught multiple classes and sectionals on my own in my now 4 year college career both in ensembles and in my host schools. I have taught a lesson on Music Theory, going over some core concepts that can be found there, I have taught 3rd grade students songs in a general music classroom, I have led a lesson there as well, making sure that each student stays focused on the task before them, and I have lead sectionals for Concert and Chamber Choir here at Lebanon Valley College. I have always been passionate about music! I started taking lessons at 8years old and haven't stopped since. I knew right away that this was my calling, that music was going to be my life. I started teaching before I even graduated high school, helping and learning from my own instructors who helped me become a great teacher myself!
