I believe in growth. If you’re not growing, you are not living life to the fullest. A musician always has continuous room to grow as an artist. There is never a peak you will hit if you continue to push yourself in your studies! I teach in many different styles sculpted to every students needs. I am proficient at working with a variety of students with different levels of experience. I have taught tone deaf people to sing in pitch. I have taught people with no rhythm to do written rhythmic theory. Although... the most important lesson I have taught to my students is to believe in their own work ethic. You can achieve anything you put your mind to! I am experienced in teaching children of many backgrounds and ages, individuals with disabilities, and the aging population all at an intermediate level.

I prefer to start with vocal techniques such as efficient breathing, posture, diction, and overall vocal warm ups. This gives me a gage of what my students learning style is. Also, this gives me an idea of what the student needs to progress in a healthy singing! I typically start with a students favorite song within the genre they’re most interested in. I believe that a student will work to the fullest if they are truly passionate about the work they are learning. I typically work out of musical theatre, classical, and jazz anthologies of what the level of the student progresses to become.
