I got a 5 on the AP Music Theory exam, and have an overview of theoretical and performance education in contemporary, classical, and jazz idioms. I have taught private hour long piano lessons one-on-one with young children and adults, and taught music theory in group classes as well as privately, through the Shalala MusicReach Program at the University of Miami. Some other tidbits about me are that I have Perfect Pitch, which means that I can quickly learn and notate music for you that you want to learn, and that I am also proficient in music production and notation software if you need help or want to record anything Read More

My lesson plans are devised around each student's individual goals. Do you have a favorite musician that you want to sound like? Is there an ensemble that you are dying to play in? Through a combination of effective methods and specific structuring to your needs, I can help you achieve those goals! For double bass, I find F. Simandl's "New Method for the Double Bass" and "30 Etudes for the String Bass" to be extremely useful. Read More

The foundation of any good technique is the most important aspect of maintaining that technique in a healthy way; similar to a dancer practicing at the bar each day, I encourage my students to internalize the foundational warm-ups first, upon which we'll build the rest of the vocal practice. Students are also encouraged to go at their own pace, and bring in any material that inspires them - the best singing is done when it's enjoyable! Read More

I'm a passionate and driven Off-Broadway actor who loves working with new students and teaching them the foundation of music/theatre. I graduated early from The University of the Arts in Dember 2016 with a BFA in Musical Theatre. I've performed all over the U.S. and have worked with amazing individuals in the industry. I am mostly known for my classically rooted bari-tenor timbre and jazz stylization that influence my characters to seem vulnerable, yet grounded. Read More

The body is an important part of singing. My lessons often incorporate fun, sometimes silly but Always useful movement. I like to send students home with one challenge every week, and a larger challenge for every month. Success feels good for any student, and short term goals that tie in to long term goals are a good way to keep feeling inspired and developing a drive to succeed. Students are encouraged to bring in music they would actually ENJOY singing, in addition to music I assign based on various vocal challenges. Read More
