My teaching experiences have been positive, fun, and I've built good relationships with my students. My favorite part about teaching is seeing singers gain confidence in their singing ability and hearing their voices grow. I belive that any learning experience should be fun above all things. I learn a lot from my students, and I encourage them to take risks and opportunities to make them into better musicians. One of the most important things for me is putting my students out there and exposing them to new opportunities that will further enhance their singing and musical ability. Read More

Nothing is more rewarding than seeing my students succeed in whatever they are passionate about. Whether that be making their Broadway Debut or learning to love music as much as I do. I encourage my students to set realistic goals for themselves at each lesson. I like to make each lesson fun but productive. I like to find commonalities in what I am teaching to their everyday life. With my years of experience both on the stage and off, I know I can give you or your child the very best training one has to offer! Read More

I like to create lesson plans around what kind of music the student wants to learn. For example, most young girls want to learn Disney princess songs. So I print them off their own copies of the songs that they had expressed an interest in learning. I feel like if the student is not interested in playing or singing the music that I am giving them it could be the best curriculum in the world, but it won't help them learn if they are not actively engaged in the music they are singing or playing. Voice instruction is every bit about personal growth as it is about learning the instrument. Being able to stand up in front of someone and express something is a vital skill in both professional and personal life. As such, I like to cater lessons very personally for each student. Some students will need to focus on technique, repertoire, and music theory, while others will need to work on his or her stage performance and musical interpretation. Read More

My teaching style is geared mainly towards going over fundamentals while finding the students interest in music. I encourage my students to listen to as much music as possible, to explore and find what they really enjoy. Playing along to music,or learning songs the student enjoys is a great way to apply the fundamentals, and make them more enjoyable to master. Read More

Born and raised in Austin, Texas, I began playing guitar when I was 8 years old. My love for music has deepened over time, and I feel it is important to share my knowledge and passion for the art with whoever is willing to learn. My earliest teachers taught me in a way that made music fun, rather than tedious, which to me is essential. I played in Jazz Band through middle school and high school, which opened my ears to another dimension of music. Read More
