Like many singers, I grew up with a love of music. I began singing in church choirs and honor choirs across the country at the age of 8 and started voice lessons at the age of 11. I was in many musicals throughout my teen years and decided to attend college to study opera at Louisiana State University, where I graduated with a Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance in 2012. I am a high-energy, working professional singer with 15+ years of performance experience and 10+ years of vocal teaching/coaching at your service! I received a Masters of Music in Voice from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) and a Bachelors of Music from DePauw University. Classically trained and now singing as the female lead of a regional wedding band 2-5 nights a week. During my time at DePauw, I spent time in China singing with a chamber choir, a summer singing with an opera company in Novafeltria, Italy, and a semester studying at the conservatory in Milan, Italy. For voice I create my own custon lesson plans and use a variety of materials. Students will work on a great variety of repetorie from pop to renaissance. Students are encourgaed to learn to read music, with a great emphasis placed upon practical music theory. I aim to develop intellegent musical artists, foscuing upon intrepretation, critical thinking, historical considerations and creativity. For piano I general use the Faber and Faber method books unless I feel that a particular method would better benefit a specific student. Read More

Hi! I'm Maeve. I am a professional soprano with 13 years of instruction and 4 years of paid experience as a performer under my belt. Since 2011, I have attended voice programs at Interlochen Center for the Arts, Brevard Music Center, and VOICExperience, and I regularly work in churches and sing weddings. I recently graduated from the University of Kentucky, where I studied with Dr. Dennis Bender.
