Like many singers, I grew up with a love of music. I began singing in church choirs and honor choirs across the country at the age of 8 and started voice lessons at the age of 11. I was in many musicals throughout my teen years and decided to attend college to study opera at Louisiana State University, where I graduated with a Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance in 2012. My approach is twofold: addressing the mind and addressing the body. I always have beginners learn how to stretch and release tension before they even sing, just like any athlete would. I have them develop a pre-singing routine including these stretches so they can both prepare themselves physically and mentally for every lesson and practice session. I am careful to choose the appropriate music for each age. if there is a child, for me is very important the relationship with the parents, because they know a lot of goals from the child. For adults the communication is the fundamental thing, each have own aspirations. The topic for teach my students will be my passion.
