I strive to set realistic goals and encourage my students to set realistic goals for themselves! This gives them an eagerness to learn because it is within their grasp. For example, If someone has a goal to be on american idol one day, I will have him/ her set a smaller goal to get there such as breath support or intonation. I have been teaching vocal music privately for going on 6 years now and in the public school's for 5 years. I graduated from Campbellsville University in 2012 with a bachelors in vocal music education and in 2015 with a masters degree in special education. I will use a lot of coaching, affirmation, reassurance, and encouragement to fuel a student's progress and desire to stay with it.
