Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. I have had experiences in tutoring, college group-studies, and leading sectionals in high school band as well as rehearsing church choir where I had the chance to interact with different age-groups ranging from children in elementary school to adults older than my own parents where I tried to determine ways to improve my understanding of teaching and cultivating efficient methods through reflections and advice. During my undergraduate and graduate studies at the University of Louisville, I have led sectionals for honor choir and all-state workshops, and prepared the University Chorus and Collegiate Chorale for my recital which have given me some hands-on experience in rehearsing various choirs. My style largely depends on the student and his/her needs and interests. I enjoy using rewards-based encouragement, especially for younger students. The rewards I give are always musical and I usually let the student choose. For example, one of the rewards for consistent practice, learning songs, and listening to recordings is the opportunity to write a parody song.
